When you log in you will be forwarded to a secure section of the insurance company site . You’ll know the site is secure when you see a yellow pad lock graphic at the bottom right hand side of the browser window.  Most use SSL certified 128 bit encryption.  Anthem uses Sun's Java Cryptography Extension which implements RSA Laboratories, "PKCS #5: Password-Based Encryption Standard," version 1.5, Nov 1993.  You can click on the lock graphic to view their certificate details.
